Please invite a pastoral musician from your parish community or neighboring parish. All are welcome!
All Pastoral Musicians in Oregon and SW Washington – please respond: At the March 9 meeting, the local NPM WOMM board members presented the need for revenue to support the local chapter and any potential expenses related to the chapter including future events with local and/or national presenters. The ‘local’ dues are separate from the dues of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. Attached is a form to survey all local pastoral musicians. Please complete the form, scan and e-mail to Agnes, or copy into the body of an e-mail. Your input is vital to the future of the local chapter and will guide the local NPM WOMM board members.

Event entitled “Signs and Symbols of the Liturgy: Experience Their Power, Reflect on their Meaning”: a workshop that will deepen our understanding of all the non-verbal elements of the Mass. Presenters Lori Simmons (Liturgy Training Publications), Dr. Glenn Byer (OCP) and Michael Prendergast (St Andrew Catholic Church (PDX), Sacred Ministries)
More information: Catholic liturgy is a rich language composed of music, words, silence, objects, natural elements, movements, postures, gestures, and ritual actions. Each of these elements serves to open our hearts, minds, and bodies to the presence of God, allowing us to participate deeply in the mystery we celebrate. Join pastoral musicians as we explore the signs and symbols of the liturgy in prayerful, participative reflection, recognizing the role of the human senses in our liturgical prayer. Through poetry, music, movement, and interaction with the symbols of the liturgy, we will discover the connections between Mass and our daily lives. For more information, contact Michael Prendergast, email@example.com
